Well, everyone wants to live till old ripe age at the same time has a healthy body. The article that our group has found is about how having positive mindset enables one to have a better health. True enough, this is not the only factor that contributes to a healthy body but it certainly gives us more knowledge and option.
Believing you are in control of your own life
Do not let anything control you! Is your life that we are talking about! You feel like you are being controlled by your emotions? Chase them off! Making your own decision and controlling your own life might not be an easy thing though. We can be influenced by outside factors but that does not give excuses that we cannot learn to take control and be responsible of our actions.
We can choose what are the right things and wrong things to do, and how to view the problems in a negative or positive way. One thing for sure, do not be afraid to take the first step in controlling your life. People are always saying: Believe yourself that the decision you made is right. Go ahead with it to make what you see in your life comes true.
Think positive, be motivated and you will realize that you can succeed in most of the things you do which make you happier. A happy and positive mindset gives a healthy body.
Maintaining strong social ties to friends and family
Have an unhappy relationship with your family or friends? Do not let emotional get control of you especially STRESS! Do you know that researches have shown that more than 95% of all disease is caused by stress? You might feel stress when you are having exams or rushing for deadlines, do not bring it back home or it might hurt your relationship between your family members.
From the article, psychologist Janice Kiecolt-Glaser said that a stress hormone will increase with negative emotions and not with positive one. If you are stress or feeling bad try saying positive words to others and they will tell you back to. Go to your family members to have a hearty chat or talk things out peacefully. This will maintain a good relationship with them rather than quarrelling every time any of you feel upset. Everyone around you will feel happy which is a good deed as you not only help yourself but also others to have a healthy body.
Always remember that when the stress level in your body is being reduced, the body will heal by itself.
Getting off the couch for vigorous exercise
After reading this part of the article, I was shocked to learn that golfers will live an additional of five years. Research also shown that the percentage of the death rate for the golfers are 40% lesser than those non-golfers. This is because golfers spend long hours outside, walking and taking in all the healthy sunlight.
However, sports like golf are more common to the wealthy people. For those who cannot afford to play or learn golf, we can do some sports that do not require so much money such as jogging, basketball, soccer etc. We can do exercise with our friends and family as it can help us to make our bonds stronger. Doing exercise will also help our heart to exercise. I learnt this when I was in secondary school. My teacher told us that the first 15 minutes of running is only to warm up our body. The actual exercise starts only half an hour after the warm up.
Be it expensive sports or normal spots, most importantly is to EXERCISE regularly to have a healthier body!
